Create A Great Employee Experience
by Gea Peper
by Gea Peper
Many companies focus strongly on creating a great customer experience. But very few have taken the next logical step and focused on consciously creating a great employee experience.
The employee experience is the sum of all the interactions between that employee and your company. It starts with the first social media post they see, the first job listing or the first headhunting email, and ends with keeping in touch even after they leave. It’s about creating a place where people want to show up and are happy at work. Creating a positive employee experience is not about stock options or foosball in the break room. It’s about respecting the role your people play in representing your brand and building your business. When you give talented people the space to achieve and thrive, they’ll give your customers an experience your competitors can’t duplicate. Gea Peper has worked as an international change management consultant for Accenture and Deloitte. She also worked in HR for the Dutch Central Bank and the Central Bank of Curaçao and Saint Maarten. In 2015, Gea founded her own company the HappinessBureau that supports organizations to become (more) successful by increasing their employees’ happiness. She is also a guest lecturer at the The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In February 2018 her book on How to Create the Best Employee Experience will come out. In this workshop you will learn:

The Foundations of Positive Leadership: Embodied Presence, Performance, Stress management and Communication
by Sebastien Martineau
by Sebastien Martineau
While Positive Psychology is the science of optimal human performance, focused on identifying the factors that drive greatness and on developing methods to train people and teams to perform at their best, Positive Leadership is the application of Positive Psychology to the human challenges of the workplace. Its goal is to help leaders and their organizations to thrive by educating managers to understand behaviour, and to leverage this understanding to achieve extraordinary results.
The, often forgotten, starting point of positive leadership is self-leadership, and in particular embodiment. The field of Embodiment exists at the point where psychology, mindfulness and body traditions (Martial Arts, Yoga, Dance, Improv, Body-based Trauma therapy) meet. Psychology is increasingly aware that cognition is embodied, yet much leadership development is cognitively focused while ignoring the foundation of well-being, performance and presence that is the mind-body connection. We are well aware of the impact the internal state of leaders has on their organisation’s people through emotional contagion, and so before we can focus outwards with positive leadership, on team, customer or strategy, we need to focus inwards and give leaders the tools they need for self-leadership. In this workshop, using gentle exercises from the martial art of Aikido we will lay the embodied groundwork on which positive leadership can grow. In this workshop, you will learn:
Sebastien Martineau is a psychologist and Aikido teacher, following studies at Oxford and the University of Kent, Sebastien pursued a 7-year career as a manager at the UK Defence Logisitics Organisation, in charge of Defence-critical equipment from manufacturer to front-line, while also studying Aikido full-time. For over 10 years Sebastien has been a corporate trainer, working in major leadership and organisational development programs for companies such as Microsoft, Vodafone, Merck, BNP Paribas, Olympus, Astra Zenica, Gefco, Ikea and for governmental organisations such as UK educational authorities and the European Parliament. Following an Executive MA in Positive Leadership and Strategy at IE Business School in 2014, Sebastien is among the foremost expert practitioners in the application of Positive Leadership to business growth and development in the region. Sebastien is the founder of Positive Leadership Development training company. Today, Sebastien offers coaching and facilitation services to companies and decision-makers, aimed at empowering exceptional performance in individuals and teams, as well as consulting services on establishing positive enabling cultures in the workplace and in company leadership teams. www.positiveleadership.biz |
